The New Pasture Development
Looking into the new pasture area from the south.  This is a
watershed area that tends to become squishy after a heavy rain.
We named our homestead after that characteristic... "Boggybottom".
The dog's name is Fluffy.  She can't stand to see me going off alone.
She's standing next to a shallow channel we preserved to allow a
pathway for a little branch that comes from under the debris pile
shown below to reach its destination at the creek.  A more detailed
photo of the branch is below.
Clearing the area left us with a large pile of debris as shown in
these 2 photos.  I was advised by the bull dozer operator to burn it,
but I opted to pile it up and let it rot away over time rather than
subject my neighbors to weeks of smoldering smoke.  Besides, it
makes a good backstop for target shooting.

We fenced the horses away from the pile to avoid the possibility of
broken legs.
